My Friend Barley Presents: A New Friend

My kid asks for this one every single night now, mostly because of the big community baseball game scenes. The Lana moment caught me off guard too, it's a sweet little lesson about sharing without feeling preachy.

The food drive storyline gave us a nice way to talk about sharing without it feeling preachy, and my son actually brought it up at dinner. The baseball game framing keeps the whole thing moving, so it never drags at bedtime.

My niece asks for this one every night now, mostly because of the community baseball game scenes. She points at the little details on each page and makes up her own commentary, which is honestly the best part.
